My name is Leanne Abel. Welcome to my world of comping. I started entering competitions in March 2012 after reading a feature in the newspaper about people who win lots of prizes. I decided to give it a go, and with nothing to lose I set off on my journey and have never looked back! I have won some great prizes during this time including £1000 from Capital FM, a £550 Mountain Bike, KitchenAid Mixer, Dishwasher and lots of smaller wins like Dvd's, Kitchenware and Jewellery. I hope you enjoy!

Finding Facebook Wins
A few people have asked how to find if they have won on Facebook, and up until now we have had no definitive answer. Recently I have found out a way to find those wins you may have missed...
The simple way is to go to your Facebook Search at the top left of the page, and to search your name, plus winner or congratulations. Use * at the beginning and end. I,e *Leanne Abel Winner* or *Leanne Abel Congratulations* etc.
This will bring up wins and pages you've liked and entered so you may have to search for a while and scroll down, but it can prove worthwhile as lots of people have mentioned that they have found competitions they have won but simply haven't been tagged in.
It's worth a look.... x

NEW RELEASE - 12:07 THE SLEEPING
12:07 THE SLEEPING is a novel – it is also a story. Whether it is true or fictional has no bearing whatsoever. But what is true, is that things like THE SLEEPING are all too real, albeit to some people only. Some of you sceptical out there can pull from the story what you like. But whatever you draw or conclude, the fact remains, it is only a story – or is it?
The sensation in which some people, when either falling asleep or waking, briefly experience an inability to move, is commonly known as Sleep Paralysis. It’s described as a state of transition between wakefulness and rest, which has the effect of complete loss of muscle strength. It can happen at the onset of sleep or upon awakening, and it often has disturbing visions. For example: The feeling that someone has entered the room and is now sat upon you, to which you are unable to react due to paralysis.
Now if that sounds like a nightmare, then I suppose it is. But that’s only in the fact that it is a wakeful nightmare. I use the word ‘wakeful’ because to the recipient of such a nightmare, they feel they are awake.
Sleep paralysis – known also as hag’s syndrome – is real. It is now being described, by some, as a paranormal experience. To those who have this supernatural involvement: “Keep on fighting whoever it is that comes, because fighting may just keep you alive.”
This story plays on 6 characters, they are: The Unwanted, The Protector, The Custodian, The Messenger/The Key, and 2 Pretty Things.
The Sleeping are numerous and the numerous cannot be characterised individually. They are guardians of the underworld; they feed from the souls that are put there, and, in our world, from the souls that belong there.
The crux of the book is about The Unwanted and The Sleeping. Everything else is purely unconnected suggestion, or is it? Fate plays upon them all. In its simplicity: James is having nightmarish visits. Lance is struggling to understand who James is. Both love Katherine and lust over Imogen. A living-dead, 154 year-old-man, is on a mission for souls and a Nun is simply everybody’s heaven-and-earth answer.
The Unwanted – A person not created from want. Lance Lewisham is a gender psychologist who struggles to understand James Walker. The main reason for this is due to the death of his daughter. Another is because of James' continuous visits from The Sleeping.
The Protector – The shield made from love. Katherine is a lawyer and wife to Lance. Unfortunately they have no children. Her work sedates her pain. She is jealous of her husband’s desire for his secretary, Imogen Swan.
The Custodian – The keeper of sins inside the ‘The Room of Truth’. Sister Miriam is a nun and the original Protector for James. She is also the Great-granddaughter of The Messenger. She studies in secret, far beneath the Sisters of Hope Convent and the church of St. Thomas. A passage from both lead to ‘The Room of Truth’ were sacrificial mass was offered to Satan, in which Pretty Things gave their souls, freely, to Him.
The Messenger/The Key – Is someone who is at the bidding of The Sleeping. A soul for a soul. Once The Sleeping have their chosen soul, The Messenger will receive his in return.
The Pretty Things – Beauties of either gender. Stephanie Duke is a fashion designer and lover of women. Sylvie Verlaine is a model and new lover to Stephanie Duke. Stephanie is truly in love with her flat mate, Imogen Swan.

Manage My Twitter
Hi everyone, I'm finally back after a long break.
I see so many questions floating around the comping forums about how to quickly unfollow Twitter pages. I myself have frequently hit my 2000 limit and needed to clear my list quickly in order to enter more competitions.
The fastest and easiest I've found to date is a neat little site called "ManageFlitter" It will allow you to unfollow 100 pages per day for FREE! Simply click on the free button and let it connect to your Twitter account and that's it. You can sort by most recently followed, talkative/quiet/ people who have not followed you back and more.
It's probably best to go through your list first and add the pages you don't want to delete to the Never Unfollow list. This will make it easier in the long run and you won't delete your friends and family accidentally.
Next I usually sort by Follow Order. By doing this you can delete pages you added a long time ago and not risk deleting pages of competitions you've recently followed and RT'd.
Hope this helps you all out and gets you more prizes! x

Ready for the Advents
Hi all,
December is almost upon us, and while people are busy buying presents and decorating their tree, us Compers are busy entering like mad to finish all the end of year competitions and preparing for the eagerly awaited Advents.
Advent comps usually start on the 1st December and are daily entries to win great prizes. It's like opening your advent calender but with the bonus of potentially winning a prize everyday. There are 100's of them around with the majority on FB but many others around too! Big prizes are usually Xmas Eve
To start preparing I usually set up a new folder and save each on in there so I can to them daily. It is a mammoth task to enter them all so I would suggest you only bookmark the ones you really want to win.
You can find them easily on sites like Loquax, MSE and Theprizefinder.
I've already managed to win day 1 from BeautyBay on FB. A nice little package of This Works sleep products worth £20.
Wins
I've managed to bag a few wins in the last couple of months. My best was a 2 Night Bed, Breakfast & Dinner Stay at a Country Manor from TenaLady. As myself and my partner don't drive I've managed to select one in York for February so we've got something to look forward to in the New Year.
When I found out I'd won I started entering competitions for things in York. 3 days later a letter turned up for a family pass to York Dungeons :)
Twitter Parties seem to be a new trend and I won a £50 Tesco F&F Voucher earlier this week and a Kopparberg Winter Mug.
Timothy Other: The Boy Who Climbed Marizpan Mountain.
As you all know my Dad has a new book out. It's currently available on Kindle for just 77p. It's already got some great reviews:
Buy it Here for 77p :)
Good luck and god bless!

October Wins and Hull Fair
Hi all,
October was a slow start but I've managed to win a few amazing prizes so far. Firstly I won a £100 voucher to be used at Unique Hair Salon. They have salons in Hessle, Cottingham and Willerby and offer a fabulous services and good prices. I actually went today and had my hair cut into a super stylish bob.
My second win was 4 tickets to Vue cinema. I was really chuffed with this prize as I haven't been to the cinema in over 5 years. My partner and I are planning on going to see "Lucy" and "The Maze Runner" when the tickets arrive. Hopefully we'll just take some cheap crisps and pop from Home Bargains and have a really cheap night out...always good when Christmas is coming!
My third win and the biggest this month is a beautiful Village England Ickford Bag worth £195.
Many thanks for reading my blog and feel free to ask me any questions.

As you may remember back in September I won a Wine Cooler from AO.Com. That's Appliances Online to those not in the know. It's really easy to do a review and submit a video to their FB page and if your lucky you could also get an appliance to review and keep. They offer Fridge/Freezers, Coffee Machines, Dishwashers, Vacuum Cleaners etc. Simply upload a short video to Youtube of your appliance, giving reasons why you need a new one and what's good/bad about it etc then add it with your details to their page. Simples...
Hull Fair
It's that time of the year again when Hull Fair comes to town for 8 days. This traditional travelling fair is one of the largest in Europe and has been coming to Hull for over 700 years. It is opened by the Lord Mayor and first opened in 1278AD. You can read all about the history of the fair here.
There are an abundance of food stalls where you can get hotdogs, burgers, kebabs, noodles and the famous "Bob Carvers" Chips. Sweet stalls for your brandysnap, candyfloss, toffee apples, cinder toffee and fudges. There's even chocolate fountains!
This year there are about 250 rides. The rides range from children's rides like carousels, mini trains, cars, teacups and ghost trains to extreme rides like walzers, rota, bomber, star flyer, superbob, hopper and bungy ball.
There are also about 115 game stalls like bingo, hook-a-duck, penalty shoot out, darts and rifle games where you can win giant cuddly toys and other prizes.
I went tonight with my parents for a walk around and picked up loads of sweets for my brother, but I'm getting too old for all these spinning rides. However if your in Hull this week I recommend you go and check it out.
New Book
Earlier this month I did a post on my dad's new book "Timothy Other: The Boy Who Climbed Marzipan Mountain". I'm trying hard to help him promote it and would really appreciate your help. If you want to purchase it on Kindle Edition it's just £3.16 and available in Paperback for £10.80 on Amazon here. If you would be kind enough so G+, FB share or RT with your friends I'd be very grateful as It is very hard to get the word out when your a newly published author.
I've also added a little video for the new book for you all to see :)
Many thanks for reading my blog and feel free to ask me any questions.

Timothy Other: The Boy Who Climbed Marzipan Mountain
This is a new book aimed at "Young Adults" written by my talented father L.Sydney Abel. Available to purchase in paperback and Kindle Edition through Amazon.
Timothy Other's origins are a mystery. He has lived all his life at the orphanage where he was abandoned as an anonymous infant. Nonetheless, he's had a good life. The Dreams and Hopes orphanage, run by the magnanimous Mr Penny, is a happy place, filled with love. But Timothy's world crumbles when Mr Penny dies. The orphanage is repossessed by the bank, and comes under the draconian rule of the horrid Mr Sterner (with his 'custard-crease smile') and the scaly-skinned Ms 'Fishy' Finn.
Timothy escapes from the orphanage hidden in a basket aboard a removals lorry, which is then put aboard a cargo plane. The plane crashes, hurtling Timothy into a strange land and a bizarre, surreal adventure. Buy it here on Amazon.
Please share to all your friends and spread the story of Timothy Other beyond Marzipan Mountain x

History of Home Competition
I am sharing this post with you all as part of British Gas Bloggers Competition. They wanted us to share a picture of our favourite Nostalgic or Retro item from our home.
My absolute favourite item is my Grandparents Retro Lighter. I was lucky enough to inherit it when they passed and as a child I had always admired it. It is a beautiful piece and although I have never refilled it I'm sure it would be in working order.

The lighter is a musical piece and features all the signs of the Zodiac and has some beautiful jewels on the top with a moon.
As you can see it looks great from all angles and I truly love it!

September Update and Free Book
Hi Folks,
September had been a slow start and I was seriously doubting that I'd win anything this month. I wasn't even having any luck on the dailys, but today I finally got not one win but 2 amazing wins.
First off I won a Anna Sui Perfume and Make-Up set worth £95. It's a 60ml perfume in a lovely rose and butterfly bottle and a Eye and Lip Colour Palette.

I forgot completely that last month I entered a competition to win a Wine Cooler. You had to upload a video of your bottle of wine and submit it to their Facebook page. I had a message saying to pm (private message) them with my details. I've really over the moon with this prize. I will post some pictures when it arrives :)
I also had a few more wins in July like post it notes, hair dye, £50 voucher for vintage stuff, shampoo's, Chanel No5 and Ridleys Magic Set. My radiator cover arrived from Zespoke which looks fab! And I spent my Halfords vouchers on a bike each for myself and my boyfriend...Happy days!!

FREE BOOK - A Toadstool Tale
As you probably all know my Father is a Children's Book Author and has just had a book published in a Crimson Cloak Publication "Glodwyn's Treasure Chest"
His book entitled "A Toadstool Tale" Is about a wizard who casts a spell over a lazy mouse to help a friend in need. The wizard can also be found, doing a marvellous job, in "The Evergreen Wolf" where all the pixies had been told that wolves would eat them in a snap-bite second if it wasn't for the protective spell that had been cast over the wood.
I have a page dedicated to all his books at the top of my blog page, so all those interested can take a look and find links to his website.
Crimson Cloak Publishing's Anthology V1 is FREE to download at most places, but those that won't let us make it free, the proceeds are going to the World Literacy Foundation" Click here to get it for FREE.

Big Wins in June
Sorry it's been a while since I last posted but I've been really busy at work and had little time to write this with all the comps I enter too.
July was an amazing month for me and not little prizes either. I was luckily enough to win another Ipad Mini from Kitsta on FB from their photo competition. I was a pirate and came 2nd place thanks to all my wonderful friends that voted for me.
Just 1 day later had a win of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 from Doherty Meats on FB. It was a simple Like & Share comp and I'm sure 100's of people entered but I was extra Lucky!! :)

I have never won a prize on a Sunday until I did an Instant Win Competition with Ibis. I had been entering everyday and nothing, but then on Sunday it popped up with the "Congratulations" You've won a Bike up to the value of £300!! I was so happy as I really wanted a bike and haven't been on one for about 10 years. I'm going to use it to buy both myself and my boyfriend a bike each so we can enjoy some days out together.
I also had a surprise win from That's Life Magazine. A cheque for £200 arrived in the post from their summer special competition. It was really unexpected and came in very useful.
Other wins were a Nivea Sensitive Skin Range, This Works Lavender Pillow Spray and Eye Cream, Nail Varnish, A Magic Set, Hair Dye and a Gilette Razor, but my biggest win was another photo competition. I had to upload a picture of an unloved radiator and get the most votes which I succeeded to do (Thanks everyone) The prize was a Zespoke Radiator Cover worth £295 that was hand crafted to fit. I picked white as it goes with everything but it does come in a range of fab and vibrant colours.
It just goes to show that everything is down to luck as some months I enter the same amount of competitions but win very little. Wishing all the best of luck for August!

Blippar Comps and Comping Help
Hi Folks,
I've just returned from 10 sunny days in Lanzarote and I'm ready and raring to get back into Comping. Whilst I was away I saw some news feeds about instant wins using an App called Blippar. Basically you use the app to take a picture (Blip) a product and then it gives you access to a whole host of information, games and competitions. You can download the app to your mobile or Ipad etc. There are a few competitions around at the minute.

How to find a win and June update.
Hi Folks, this will be my last post before my holiday as I'm jetting off on Saturday!
I was amazed to have found out that I won a iPad Mini from a FB competition last week and it turned up this weekend. I was ultra lucky because I didn't actual know I had won as the company didn't send me a DM (direct message). They did tag me in the post but it didn't show up in my notifications, but luckily a fellow comping friend had seen it and messaged me.
It seems there is no fast and easy way to check if you have won a competition and I've been asking questions among our comping groups to see what others are doing. Here is a list of what you can do.

It seems there is no fast and easy way to check if you have won a competition and I've been asking questions among our comping groups to see what others are doing. Here is a list of what you can do.
- Request to join a FB Chat Group where fellow Compers can tag you if they see you have won a prize.
- Use Google Social Search to find a win. This can be sorted by relevance or date. Try things like "Leanne Abel! Winner or "Leanne Abel" Congratulations etc. This can be used for Google, FB and Twitter searchers as well as others. Don't forget to try unusual things too like " please get it touch" "send us a DM"
- Set up a new folder to add competitions as you enter them with the closing date so you can go back and check who won and delete them as you find a winner has been announced. (please tag winners if you can)
- Check your Junk Mail - Lots of winners find messages in here so don't delete until you've checked!
Changing the subject, my first June win was....wait for it.....A Encore Multi-Pack of Cat Food!
I don't actually have a cat but my parents have 3, and I love them dearly. Unfortunately I am allergic and have to take anti-histamines before I go anywhere near them. We have a stray down our street that I call "Little Jimmy" who comes to visit every now and then, so I thought I would enter to give him something to eat as he's so small and scrawny!
VOTE FOR ME :)
I am currently trying my best to win a voting competition that I found but I'm struggling with votes. If you could all spare a second to vote for me I'd appreciate it and if you need a vote back then let me know and I'll always help :) Please click this link.
Anyways I have to start packing for my holiday so I'll send you all fairy dust and lots of luck!

May Wins and Holidays
Hi Folks,
Thought I'd start with a quick update on my wins this month :)
I was a bit down in the dumps as I haven't won any big prizes this year like I have in the past, but my luck changed a few weeks ago when I won a Youview Humax Box from entering a FB competition with Broadband Choices. These retail at about £250 so I was well chuffed and can now cancel my Sky contract and watch catch up TV instead.
Today I had a Twitter win which for me are very rare! I've bagged myself some cleaning products from @bizzybeeuk. To be honest I'd lost faith in entering these comps but think I'll keep at it now. This competition was a Pun competition where you had to name a clever cleaning song, there were 10 winners but I managed to win so not sure if it was random or if they liked my pun? I put "Baby you can clean my Car" by the Beatles lol!
I'm still trying my hand at the dailies and instants and have won 2 Echo Falls prizes now of Models Own Make-Up and BC Colour Freeze Sulfate Free Shampoo from Schwarzkopf Instant.
On another note I'm counting down to my return to Costa Teguise in June. You can see pictures on my blog from when I went last year. It's our favourite holiday destination at the moment. Lanzarote is such a lovely place and in Teguise it is chilled and not as lively as the main places like Puerto Del Carman and Playa Blanca. I'll post some snaps when I return!
If you haven't already tried winning some Jelly Beans on the Jelly Bean Instants page then you should. I won some the other week. It's a simple bandit where you spin a winning combination and can win loads of great instant prizes. Yummy! I ate them all in one sitting.
Til next time folks

May is here!
Hi Folks,
So I've been wondering if you guys would like me to add some competitions here to my blog for you to enter but will have to look into this as I get quite a few people from USA too. I'll see what I can do and maybe set up a new page for this. Let me know what you want to see and I'll try my best.
During April I managed to win a few bits and bobs including some Bassbuds which I will write a review on once received. I won from playing a game and getting to the top 5 on the leaderboard. I like playing games and when you can win prizes their even better!
I'm still trying my luck at all the instant wins and daily competitions and have bagged myself a £5 Amazon Voucher and a Models Own Make-Up set from Echo Falls. :)
As usual I am entering at least 50 comps a day and although it's been a slow year so far my motto is "You gotta enter it to Win it!!"
Good Luck all and Stay Lucky X

Spring is here :)
Hi all my fans. It's been quite a while since I last posted, but I haven't had any wins as of yet this month to share with you all. I get down when I don't win and have been entering like mad over the last few weeks so I'm hoping I'll get a win very soon.
I have been very fortunate over the last couple of years to win some amazing prizes, but I do get slightly annoyed when I see the same people winning all the time. But hey, everyone has a chance and it's all down to luck.
I've also been really busy over the last few months helping administer a FB competition page and website. The links can be found on my page and both sites have UK competitions that are Free to Enter. Some good news is that we will be featured very soon on another Blog site so hopefully will get some more traffic coming our way. Competitions 4 Free Free Competitions
On another note, don't forget to check to see if your a winner using Google Social Search.
It's simple to use and you can use it to search specific terms like "winner janet jackson" "congratulations annie lennox" etc. You can search FB, Twitter, Google and more to see if you've won and search by date or relevence. I found a win last month using this that I hadn't been emailed about.
Til next time, good luck!!

March Comping Update
Hello to all my fans and friends! I've not posted for a while as I've had a little health scare but hopefully will be ok soon.
So far this month I've won a Kipling Pom Pom Keyring from FB and a Cook Book from Divertimenti worth £20. Also had a surprise win turn up from Heat Magazine which was nice. A Paul Mitchell Hair Care Set!

Another Win :)
Had an email yesterday saying I've won 2 pillows from Archers Sleepcentre on FB worth £60. Am so chuffed. It is a fortnightly prize draw which is still open so you can all enter too!
The voting competition I had entered has now been changed to a prize draw so my votes won't count but I'm not too worried as I was in 3rd place and was quite far behind the winner so I might stand more chance now, but we'll see.
Stay Lucky everyone :)

More wins......and please keep voting!
Hi all, the competition is well under way now so thank you all for entering. I was notified that there was a problem with one of the links so you can enter here if it didn't work for you.
I was informed the other day of a few small wins from Facebook. A Budweiser FA Cup Pint Glass and a Dr Oatker Pizza Voucher.
My voting competition is still on going until the end of February and I would really appreciate it if you could all spare a second to vote for me. As mentioned it is my first ever go at a voting competition and I really want to win the prize of an engagement ring. I know it's a big ask but if you only vote once it will help. Please click on the link to vote x
Thank you all in advance and good luck with all your wins x
